The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has placed the V-Station MIFARE on its Biometrics for Access Control Qualified Products List (QPL) in order to secure restricted areas at U.S. airports. The TSA rigorously tests all products for speed and accuracy before placing them on the QPL in order to secure highly vulnerable locations. Of the seven products that were operationally tested, the V-Station MIFARE was one of only two readers for Physical Access Control that received approval. The fingerprint scanner supports PINs and smart cards for multi-factor authentication. |
